Mersham Manor Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
A very stylish and unusual 1920s all brass double bed, of excellent quality.
Made by quality manufacturers "Staples & Co Ltd-Bedmakers to the King"
With then having neo-classical paterae motifs to the centre of the footboard, which was very fashionable during the Edwardian era, with a neo-classical revival at that time. So a nice mix of the two styles.

In complete original condition, still having the sprung mattress base. The brass has a wonderful naturally aged patina, and warm colour.
We could remove the original spring base and add a wooden slatted base if preferred.

Dismantles into a headboard, a footboard, two side rails, and the spring base.
The overall condition is very good, with general signs of age and use, commensurate with age. Naturally aged patination to the brass. Strong and sturdy.
