The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1870s.
The movement is protected by an inner fitted cover. An antique winding key is included.

The watch measures 53mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks for Chester 1878, with a case maker's mark for the Coventry case maker Charles Harris. The case is in good condition. Originally there would have been crisp engine turned detail to the back but this has worn down over the years and only traces remain.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.
The watch has a superb dial and it is in beautiful condition embellished with flowers, foliage and acorns picked out in gold. The blued steel hands are later replacements.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
