An antique Omega pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working well. The movement is signed with the Omega name and there is a serial number underneath the dial, 5199149 which dates it back to around 1918/19. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which is also signed with the Omega name, together with details of medals won at trade exhibitions.

The watch measures 51.2mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is .800 silver and there are Swiss hallmarks inside the case back, together with the early Omega stamp. The case has a rose gold wash around the front and back bezels which have light wear from use . The case has light surface marking from use and a couple of mild bruises but overall it is in nice condition.

The glass lens has a couple of light scratches, nothing too detrimental.

The signed white enamel dial is in nice condition. The ornate hands are a charming feature, popular in the Scandinavian countries at the start of the 20th Century.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
