Description

This is a most unusual and decorative Arts & Crafts period side cabinet in solid rosewood dating from around 1890. The sideboard has a break front design with the upper and central frieze beautifully decorated with hand painted polychrome floral garlands. The doors of the cabinet have original paintings depicting Kirkstall and Bolton Abbey whilst the central fall front cabinet has two painted panels of lilies around a central river scene. The upper glazed cabinet has fine quality bevelled glass to the doors and is lined in red velvet. There are good quality working locks on all of the doors and the original key. The lower display sections are mirrored to the back to enhance display. The cabinet is in good sound order with a lovely colour and a is good size measuring 160 cms long 50 cms deep and is 104 cms high.
