The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1870s.
The watch has a key-wound movement which is working well.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 53.4mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and is stamped A.M. Watch Co Waltham, Mass, Sterling silver. The case has light surface marking from use and some light wear to the engine turning on the back but overall it is in nice condition for an 1870s piece.

The acrylic lens has minor marking from use but overall it is in nice condition.
The enamel dial has a very faint hairline crack to the centre at 4 o'clock but otherwise it is in nice condition.
The watch has gold hands and a blued steel sub seconds hand.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
