Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Carse Antiques

18th century George III Cuban mahogany narrow cabinet, ideal for a hallway. The cabinet consists of 2 drawers to the bottom which are oak lined and have their original brass swan neck handles with a pair of panelled cupboard doors above. The cupboard section has one long shelf which is adjustable in grooves in the sides. The cabinet stands on nice shape bracket feet. The cupbaord door has its original lock with working key.
The cabinet is all basically original and has not been cut down or reduced but it has had some old restoration mainly where the doors have swung back at some point and damaged the wood on the sides. The inside also originally had a division up the middle with two shelves rather than one as it is now.
The cabinet has been made from womderful timber and has a lovely original patination and colour to it.
Great size for a hallway.
