The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The watch has a stem-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 47mm diameter excluding the crown and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1885 with a maker's mark for Arthur Baume, watch maker and importer (including being the importer of Longines watches). The case has a few dings and dents from years of use.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.
The watch has a white enamel dial with pin-set blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. There is a little spider of short hairline cracks on number 8 but they are faint.
The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
