The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1930s.
The watch has a signed Swiss 15-jewel movement (with shockproofing) which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner cover.
The case is plated and was made by Francois Borgel, an early pioneer of dust proof and water proof cases although, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture. There is some rubbing and light marking but overall the condition is very acceptable for a 1930s piece.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes with its original box, 1939 guarantee, 'Taking care of your Rone watch' leaflet, and also a bakelite holder, a back removing tool and instructions on how to open and close the back of the watch... we have never seen a watch with tools like this, and the original paperwork and box makes this a very nice watch collector's item.
