Oliver Sargent Antiques has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The fully signed case retails a good set of Naval inspectors Kanji and Anchor stamps to the inner back case. The watch case retains virtually all its original plate and shows only slight wear. Fully signed Seikosha chronograph movement that has just been serviced and is now in full working order keeping accurate time. As I understand Seikosha copied and slightly modified the Longines cal 18.72 chronograph movement which was then issued to the Japanese Imperial Army and Navy. Diameter of the watch excluding crown and winding tube is 52mm. A fabulous piece of WW2 Pacific military history.
