Gents 9ct gold Smiths Astral wrist watch, 1956.

The watch has a 17-jewel hand winding movement, made in England, which is working nicely.

The watch measures 33.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Edinburgh 1956, with a case maker's mark for Smiths Clocks & Watches. The case is in lovely condition and free from any engraving.

The lens is in good condition.

The signed dial is in its original finish which has an attractive linen effect. Original dauphine shaped hands and a centre seconds hand with red pointer end. There is a little marking to the dial but nothing too serious at all.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
