The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the two case backs for London 1924 with an importer's mark for Sylvain Dreyfuss.

Rotary Watches Ltd was established at La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland by Moise Dreyfuss in 1895. By the 1920s family members Georges and Sylvain Dreyfuss were importing Rotary watches to Britain, which was to become the company's most successful market. The Rotary wings logo was introduced in 1925, a year after this particular watch was manufactured which suggests that this watch is indeed an early but unsigned Rotary.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.
The dial is signed with the name of the original retailer, Robert Milne, Manchester. Original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track. There are a couple of hairline cracks at 4 o'clock.
The watch comes with a silver double albert with each chain measuring 19cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.
The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.
