Large antique Elgin pocket watch, 1911.

The watch has a 17 jewel stem-winding movement , grade 336, which is working well. The movement is signed with the Elgin name and the serial number 15419812 dates it back to 1911.

The watch measures 54.5mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case has a good quality gold plated case originally guaranteed to wear for 20 years. It has a screw-on bezel and back, another good sign of quality. The case has light wear to the edges although hardly noticeable to the naked eye, but overall it is in nice condition for a 1911 piece.

The glass lens is in nice condition with only a small nibble to the outer edge between 4 & 5 o,clock.

The signed dial has red minute markers to the outer edge. The dial has a very faint hairline crack to the outer chapter ring at 3 o,clock and a small surface scratch at 1 o,clock although hardly noticeable but overall it is in nice condition.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
