Description

George II mahogany dressing chest of drawers. The top drawer fitted with compartments and divisions, a mirror and a writing slide lined with green baize. To the right hand side of the dressing drawer is a small drawer meant for ink bottles, sand and quills (ink stains visible). For a similar example of this kind of dressing drawer see Susan Stuart, 'Gillows of Lancashire and London'. Fluted quarter columns over ogee bracket feet. Later brass handles but of suitable design and quality. In very good restored condition. Circa 1750.
