A J O'Sullivan Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
To the right hand side of the dressing drawer is a small drawer meant for ink bottles, sand and quills (ink stains visible). For a similar example of this kind of dressing drawer see Susan Stuart, 'Gillows of Lancashire and London'. Fluted quarter columns over ogee bracket feet. Later brass handles but of suitable design and quality. In very good restored condition. Circa 1750.
