The carving is of outstanding quality and has an incredible warmth and patina to the walnut.
The figural carvings to each side really are amazing, they are devil / satyr in design, with a gothic influence to the highly decorated panelled doors. The figures are boldly carved in solid and heavy walnut. The quality of the carving is incredible. The detail to the hair, face and torso is wonderful.
The two door sideboard opens to reveal an adjustable shelved interior, having baize covering to the three shelves.
Overall a simply stunning piece of furniture with a great presence.
