This very handsome chest, gives a vast amount of storage space. Having eight drawers in total. The three lower drawers graduate in size, and are all deep, particularly the bottom drawer which incorporates the plinth base, making it extra deep. The five drawers to the top feature a central "hat" drawer, flanked by four further small drawers. All drawers are constructed from solid mahogany, showing great quality. All three top drawers has the JAS Shoolbred & Co stamp, plus one drawer also has the original label, showing there address in Tottenham Court Road, London, W1.

All the original locks and escutcheons are present. The top five drawers have their own working key, plus one spare. The two top long drawers also have a working key.
Decorative original brass handles.

Standing on a plinth base with flattened bun-feet.
Lovely rich colour and patination to the figured mahogany.
Overall in excellent, sturdy strong condition. General minor signs of age and use. Good even colour throughout. Minor mark to the top. The bottom escutcheon and lock have been replaced, with period replacements. Knock to the top left corner of the bottom drawer.
