Stunning Victorian Figured Mahogany Antique Scottish Chest

Dating from around 1860, this stunning Scottish chest has an inverted break front top above two moulded cushion drawers and has three cock beaded drawers with the original turned handles. This stylish piece stands on an inverted break front plinth and has beautiful column sides. It has the usual minor historical repairs and is full of beautiful charm and character and the mahogany has aged to a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

Width:127cm / 50 inches

Depth : 60cm / 23.5 inches
