Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
Constructed by the renowned cabinet makers Heal & Son London and date from around 1860.
It has a rectangular moulded top above eight mahogany lined drawers, with turned handle and hinged locking arm with key and working lock. This stylish piece stands on a moulded plinth and the mahogany has aged to a warm rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
