This very elegant bed is in the Louis XV style, having wonderful Rococo designs.
With an exceptional, exquisitely carved shell cresting to the headboard.
Lovely shaped and carved side-rails, echoing the design of the footboard.
Standing on very elegant acanthus and scroll carved feet.
The walnut has developed a warm rich colour, and excellent patina.
With custom made, solid pine bed slats.
Fits a UK standard double 4ft 6" mattress.
Very easy to assemble.
Completely dismantles into a headboard a footboard, two side-rails, the pine slats stack.
The bed will be dismantled ready for collection, we are happy to assist with loading if required.
The condition is excellent antique condition, with very minor signs of age and use. The inside of the centre of the footboard has had a repair to the veneer, shown in the second to last picture. This is barely visible anyway, plus being on the inside of the bed it does not show, and once a mattress and covers are on will be virtually covered.
