Spectacular Georgian Figured Mahogany Antique Chest on Chest

Of nice small proportions, this spectacular chest on chest circa, 1780 has a moulded cornice with Grecian decorative moulding above two over six graduating oak lined cock beaded drawers with re instated period brass handles, brass key escutcheons and key with several working locks. The corners are canted with quarter columns and this wonderful chest is full of beautiful charm and character. It stands on shaped bracket feet and splits into two sections for easy removal. The mahogany has aged to a rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
