Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Regency era.
They have a beautifully figured top above an unusual moulded frieze with two over four graduating cock beaded drawers with oval brass handles and the original / early blue lining paper. This superb piece stands on shaped bracket feet and provides an adequate amount of storage. The mahogany has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
