Elegant Regency Caddy-top Bow-front Mahogany Chest of Drawers

Description

-Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques-

A very elegant good quality Regency mahogany chest of drawers.

c1810.

Having a caddy-top of bow-front form, with a cross-banded top, framed with boxwood line inlay, over two short, and three long graduating, cock-beaded drawers, elegant oval brass handles. All the original locks are present, having elegant diamond shaped bone escutcheons. The drawers are pine lined and retain the original blue paper lining.

Standing on splayed bracket feet.

In excellent antique condition, with expected but minor signs of age and use.

The drawers open smoothly.

Excellent colour and patina.

Very solid sturdy and strong.

Width-102cm.

Depth-51cm.
