Oliver Sargent Antiques has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The original mahogany case has been later fitted with a top pediment in an effort to make more attractive. The dial has lost all the original silvering and has the early RAF wings engraved just below 12. The movement is numbered 66968 and is in good working order. The bottom underside is stamped with the King George V cypher along with the crown and the remains of the EC & W marking and dated 1927. The clock is very impressive standing at 54cm tall by 33cm wide and 18cm deep.
