Description

A very rare English Clock & Watch Manufactures RAF clock dated 1927. This very rare version is only one of four know examples and is recorded in “A History of Clocks in the RAF “by Lt Col Bob Gardner, please refer to figure 81 on page 71 and figure 82 on page 72. The original mahogany case has been later fitted with a top pediment in an effort to make more attractive. The dial has lost all the original silvering and has the early RAF wings engraved just below 12. The movement is numbered 66968 and is in good working order. The bottom underside is stamped with the King George V cypher along with the crown and the remains of the EC & W marking and dated 1927. The clock is very impressive standing at 54cm tall by 33cm wide and 18cm deep.
