A rare and fine quality mid 18th Century Oak Secretaire Chest on Chest of classical architectural design. This is a wonderful example of English country furniture in superb condition retaining original handles and ogee bracket feet. The Chest made in figured Oak is banded around the edge of the drawers in Mahogany, Elm has been used for the turned capitals and supports with applied shaped Mahogany below the base of the fluted Columns. The dentil cornice is also Mahogany.
