Oliver Sargent Antiques has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The original hand set have lost their infill but can still be clearly read. The plated case is quite good as most have hardly any plate left but this one on offer still has approx. 65% of its plate remaining. The stainless-steel screw down case back is stamped with the German Army issue markings. The movement is the correct Kruth 321 and is in good working order holding time. The German issued version is larger, at approx. 34mm in diameter excluding the crown, than the issued ATP British version at 31mm in diameter excluding crown. Difficult to find in original condition and still relatively not expensive.
