Carse Antiques has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The drawers have cock beaded edges, original iron locks and original brass swan neck handles. The drawers are lined completely in oak.

The chest stands on its original bracket feet. The top has a simple quarter round moulding to the edge and is similarly veneered in top quality mahogany, the ends are solid mahogany.
The top has some minor veneer cracking and the natural joint to the sides is slightly open.
The chest of drawers is a wonderful original colour with deep patination from years of waxing.
