Carse Antiques has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The top is fruitwood. The small tapered square legs terminate in moulded brass toes.
The drawers are oak lined with original large iron locks to two of the drawers, the other has an old replaced brass lock. We have the original large iron key for the original locks. The brass ring handles are period but possibly not original, it might not have had handles at all originally but just opened with the key.
The piece is in good condition and is a lovely colour. A few old veneer repairs as to be expected but otherwise very good.
