Rare Antique Oak Chest of Drawers by Ambrose Heal.

This is a beautifully made, antique chest of drawers by Ambrose Heal in 1905. The original sketch of the chest by Ambrose Heal is listed in the Heals of London design book. In superb, clean condition, made in solid oak, with four tapering drawers, each having a moulded step, all have the original locks. Each drawer has two of the lovely, recessed 'squashed heart' handles. The drawers all have hand cut dovetails and run very smoothly. You can see exposed dovetail decorations along the top edge of the chest. A very beautiful, rarely seen, antique oak chest of drawers by Ambrose Heal.
