Description

Circa 1890s with alterations, rare pair of late Victorian burr walnut, tall chest of drawers. Made in the wellington chest style, each has 6 graduated drawers and their original brass drop handles. The rectangular top with a rounded moulding sits above a simple frieze and the chests stand on an enclosed plinth bases. These quality chests have solid mahogany drawer carcasses with fine dovetails.
