Pair of Walnut Chest of Drawers

19th century
Description

Circa 1890, unusual pair of walnut chests of drawers. With two banks of four graduated drawers in each chest, the rectangular tops have a chamfered edge and fluted pilasters to the sides. Both stand on an enclosed plinth base, and the drawers have Arts and Crafts cast brass handles and a brass index holder indicating they were originally made for an office.
