French Kingwood Marble Top Chest of Drawers

Description

This is a very fine and elegant Kingwood chest of drawers beautifully inlaid with Ebony and Satinwood dating from the late 19th / early 20th century. The breakfront chest of four long drawers is very decoratively and skilfully veneered with kingwood and inlaid in a most decorative design. The cabriole legs have beautiful ormolu mounts as do the drawers and the chest has a very heavy and wonderfully figured marble top. This has a swept, outcurving shape to the sides at the back and this is reflected in the marble top as is the curved breakfront design to the front of the piece. The chest is in beautiful clean condition throughout.
