Victorian Campaign Military Chest

19th century
Description

An excellent quality early Victorian mahogany campaign/military chest with secretaire writing compartment. which is fitted with a slide in travelling board. The Chest has all its original brass straps, corner fitments, handles and working locks and comes in two sections and still retains its original bun feet.

The drawers have ash wood sides and pine base linings which are in excellent condition. The chest still maintains its original finish and colour which has been cleaned and waxed.
