Unusual Dutch Oak Chest of Drawers

19th century
Description

Welcome to Mersham Manor Antiques.

A very charming and unusual Dutch solid oak chest of drawers of medium proportions.

c1790-1800.

Having four long drawers of varying depths, with the most exquisite ornate brass handles, in a very elegant Neo-Classical design, having rams heads and swag pulls. They are of wonderful quality, and are original to the chest. All original locks and escutcheons. The drawers are oak lined. Also still has the original key which fits each lock, really quite rare for a chest of this age.

Lovely unusual design and shape.

In excellent antique condition.

Super colour and patination.

Very solid sturdy and strong.

The dimensions are.

Width-89cm.

Depth-43.2cm
