Large Antique Chest of Drawers by Shapland & Petter.

This is a wonderful, 19th century antique ash chest of drawers by the well know Arts & Crafts makers, Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple. An unusual form, this antique chest of drawers has amazing original copper handles and heart shaped escutcheons. Superb quality, all the drawers run smoothly and are lined in ash. The chest stands well on bracket feet. An unusual;l feature is that the sides and back extend up past the top to form a small galleried area. In excellent, clean and original condition throughout.
