Description

Georgian and later herringbone crossbanded walnut tallboy chest on stand of drawers.

This is a rare chest with a good storage capacity. 19th Century origins, with later (poss early 20th Century) legs and other alterations (many chests of this style are like this).

Lovely proportions that are just right. Looks like a £10000 piece, but much more affordable.

Designed to be split into two halves for transport/getting up stairs.

This is a lovely chest, that is full of age, charm and character.

The oak lined drawers slide freely.

Overall maximum dimensions: 110cm wide, 64cm deep, 157cm high.

There are no keys and the locks are consequently untested. There are some historic extinct woodworm holes (as is to be expected) that we have treated for good measure. One handle does not perfectly match the rest (which aren't original) and there is a small piece of one escutcheon missing.
