Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
They have a beautifully figured moulded top above three over three graduating cock beaded drawers with beautiful boxwood string inlay and brass swan neck handles. There is a key which works in two of the locks and the piece stands on shaped bracket feet and is equipped with later backboards. The mahogany has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
