Description

A truly astonishing serpentine-fronted chest of drawers from the early part of the 20th century. This beautiful Edwardian chest, in best quality satinwood, is comprised of four graduated hardwood lined drawers over a wavy apron and swept bracket feet. The overhanging top and all of the drawer fronts are crossbanded in kingwood with ebony and boxwood stringing. It is English, and it dates from c.1900 – 1920. There is a working key to the top drawer.
