Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The top is beautifully figured with rosewood cross banding with boxwood string inlay and half round moulded edge. The drawer configuration is two over four and all drawers are oak lined with cock beaded edges and have beautiful decorative brass handles. These dainty drawers would fit wonderfully into most homes due to the delightful small proportions and they stand on four small splayed bracket feet. The mahogany has aged to a rich shade with a striking grain, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
