Here we have a finest quality Victorian Mahogany chest of drawers c1860. As you can see this solid Mahogany chest has wonderful colour and patina. The solid Mahogany top has wonderful grain and a concave stepped moulded edge surrounded by a thick thumb mould. There are solid Mahogany sides and rounded corners. There are wonderful decorative palistars to the front sides with moulded cappings. The drawers have handcut dovetail joints and are Mahogany lined including the bases. The drawer fronts are also solid Mahogany. The drawers have cockbeaded edges and original tuned bun handles. The original locks and escutcheons are in place with the locks stamped V crown R. The chest sits on a plinth base. A stunning fine quality period chest in excellent retail condition ready for your home. The chest has super proportions being approx 40 inches wide 20 deep and 41 high.
