Description

An exceptional find – a wonderful mahogany Georgian chest of drawers of incredibly diminutive proportions being only 16½” (420mm) wide. This is an original piece – not one that has been made up or adapted from another piece of furniture. The graduated drawers – all having turned knob handles – are lined in solid oak. The backing boards and all four bracket feet are original, and there is a working key to the top full-width drawer. This beautiful piece of English cabinetmaking dates from c.1800 – c.1820 and has its original finish with a deep colour and a soft lustre shine.
