George II Rare Mahogany Slide Chest

Description

A rare George II Mahogany Slide Chest in superb original untouched condition. This small chest of drawers made from solid Mahogany and beautifully lined in Oak. Having a one piece Ovolo moulded top with re-entrant corners. Having an arrangement of a slide, 4 graduated drawers also with Ovolo moulded edges. Retaining the original open cut brass plate handles and escutcheons, raised on plain shaped bracket feet. A classic piece of mid 18th century restrained English Mahogany furniture of which has the most spectacular colour and patina throughout. Circa 1750.

Dimensions: Height: 31 1/2 Inches (80cm), Width: 36 Inches (91.5cm), Depth: 20 Inches (50.5cm)
