The smoothly-running drawers are lined in solid English oak – always a good sign of quality – and they retain their original brass swan-neck handles. The shaped bracket foot supports and the backing boards are also original. It has beautifully well-figured timbers with an outstanding colour and patination, and there is a working key to the top full-width drawer. It is of a desirably small size being only 36” (915mm) across the carcass.
