Description

A superb George III mahogany chest on chest, circa 1775. Retaining the original and fine gilded brassware of a most rare Chinoiserie pattern, with reeded and stop fluted canted corners, a bold architectural cornice and pronounced ogee feet. Some authorities attribute this design of tallboy to a Channel Isles workshop.
