George II Figured Walnut Chest of Drawers

Description

A fine 18th century figured walnut chest of drawers having the most beautiful mellow colour and rich patina. The chest with a caddy top which is cross-banded, quarter veneered and decorated with herringbone inlay. The drawers all book matched veneered with strongly figured timber finished with feather banding to the out edge, the drawers all oak lined with period replacement pieced brass handles and cock-beaded rails . To the base a ovolo moulding and terminating in the original shaped bracket feet. Superb condition, rarity and proportions throughout. English, Circa 1735.

Dimensions: Height 37 Inches (94cm), Width 35 1/2 Inches (89cm), Depth 20 1/2 (52cm)
