Sensational George 1st Oak and Figured Walnut Antique Chest on Stand

This Sensational George 1st Figured Walnut Antique Chest on Stand is an extremely rare early piece and dates from around 1730. It has striking figured walnut fronts with cross banded edges and a delightful moulded top that sits above two over three graduating drawers, the top two drawers having an unusual locking mechanism. The stand has a moulded edge above three figured drawers with decorative brass handles. This truly stunning antique has a shaped apron and stands on splayed cabriole legs, the oak and walnut has aged to a rich medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
