Chest of Drawers Superb George II Feather Banded Walnut Chest C1730

Here we have a Stunning George II feather banded Walnut chest of drawers c1730. As you can see the chest has super colour and patina. The top has wonderful grain and colour with a central quarter veneered panel of burr and figured Walnut and a feather bended edge. Outside of this there is a cross banded border and a further feather banded string. The top has a moulded edge which sits above a desirable configuration of two over three drawers. The drawers have drop handles with no other holes visible on the front or on the inside of the drawers fronts. The drawer front are also beautifully coloured and have a feather banded inlay. The drawers are Oak lined and have as you would expect have thick dovetail joints. In between the drawers there is a half round moulding and there is a stepped moulding above the original bracket feet. A super chest as good as it gets for the type and period in excellent retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 39 inches wide 36 high and 22 deep.
