Georgian 18th Century oak chest of drawers.

This is a lovely chest, that is full of age and character.

A rare piece with clean simple lines, very solid and heavy.

The oak lined drawers slide freely. We have no keys and the locks are consequently untested.

There is a dummy keyhole on the top drawer.

Overall maximum dimensions: 95cm wide, 61cm deep, 91cm high.

Replacement handles and escutcheons. Internal marks and stains to the drawers as is to be expected. The original side drawer runners have been replaced by bottom runners and some of the drawer components have been replaced with softwood (2.5 bottoms and 1 side). There is quite a bit of historical woodworm (as is usual with period oak furniture), believed extinct, that we have treated for good measure.
