A really charming satin birch cupboard and drawers dresser. The dresser stands on short turned feet below a two door cupboard with moulded panel doors with book matched veneers. The two drawers above the cupboards are also edged with ogee profile moulding and and are lined and dovetailed. The top has a low shelf back shaped and flared out at the sides. The dresser was probably for use as a bedroom washstand but it would work perfectly in a bedroom, kitchen or dining room. The dresser is in excellent condition (just a few water marks on the top shelf as shown in photos) and the satin birch is of a lovely warm treacle colour. C.1880
