A Beautiful Pair Of Chests Of Drawers

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Waterfall Antiques

An astonishing find; a pair of top quality 19th century chests of drawers attributed to Holland & Sons of London – one of the most highly respected manufacturers who supplied furniture to various Royal households including Windsor Castle. The graduated cockbeaded drawers are lined in solid mahogany and retain their original turned knob handles. The plain plinth base supports and all the backing boards are original and there are working keys to the top full-width drawers on both chests. These beautiful examples of British cabinetmaking, both having an untouched finish of great warmth and character, are extremely desirable for being a pair and they represent a fine investment. English, c.1870s.
