Description

This 18th century sideboard is simply stunning. It is beautiful in every respect. Whatever you see on this piece is totally original. The only thing missing is the back rail which I believe enhances the look of the piece.

Starting with the unusual construction of the bow ends. They swivel out on a pivot. The two drawers on the left and the huge cellarette drawer on the right. The central drawer covers two small drop down compartments, again totally original . The construction of the central drawer has to be seen to be believed! it is 'waisted' at the sides to enable the bow ends to open and shut.

All locks and handles are totally original with working keys. .

The colour of this mahogany is superb with feathering of the finest quality. No splits or breaks.
