Quality Victorian Tall Oak Antique Wellington Chest

This Quality Victorian Tall Oak Antique Wellington Chest circa, 1870 has been constructed from quality oak with Arts and Crafts influences. This fine chest has an unusual ten drawer configuration all of which are mahogany lined with the original turned oak handles which are secured in place by a locking arm with the original Hobson and Co lock and key. This wonderful chest has elegant carved corbels and stands on a plain plinth and also benefits from the original backboards. The oak has aged to a warm medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
